Tooth Fairy

Kayla lost her first tooth this weekend! Later that same night the one next to it came out too. Guess it makes sense...her teeth came in two at a time, might as well fall out two at a time! She was so excited because the tooth fairy left her two shiny gold $1 coins (you know the kind the stamp machine at the post office gives you for change)!

Piano versus Soccer

...and soccer wins. Kayla had an opportunity to try piano lessons for free through a "Budding Musician's Scholarship" to see if she would be interested. She lasted about 5 weeks. :-) The interest just wasn't there. She is still taking tap/ballet and will have another recital in June. It should be super cute because her cousin, Taryn, is in her class this time! In the meantime, she has expressed an interest in soccer. I signed her up for a spring league that should begin practicing soon. I believe the first game is March 28th. Stay tuned for pictures! Hope everyone is doing well.

EUROPE!

   Vacation has officially begun, round 1 at home, round 2 at the airport. First leg is Phoenix to Seattle. Gearing up for the long leg of the trip...Seattle to Frankfurt    Germany! New stamp for the passport :) Short flight to Berlin next! Never been so happy to see an Exit sign. Woohoo...we made it! DAY 1- Berlin Hackescher Markt - great little area with tons of restaurants and shops!    First stop after checking into the hotel ( Adina Hotel) . Brauhaus Lemke am Hackeschen Markt. Dinner: Schnitzel Curry wurst Real German Weissen beer French fries with mayonnaise Cobblestone streets everywhere with lots of activity. Berlin is charming with dancing in the streets and church bells ringing. You can really feel the carefree attitude here!
