Kayla's 1st Soccer Game

Kayla's team (The Wild Cats) won! 13 - 0!!!!

1st Official Measurement

Well, the first set of results are in. Kayla has been taking her injections faithfully twice a day for 3 months. She had her first official measurement at the doctor yesterday. She has grown 1 inch and gained 3 pounds! This is great news! She has had no side effects and is healthy as can be. Here are a few pictures:

Piano versus Soccer

...and soccer wins. Kayla had an opportunity to try piano lessons for free through a "Budding Musician's Scholarship" to see if she would be interested. She lasted about 5 weeks. :-) The interest just wasn't there. She is still taking tap/ballet and will have another recital in June. It should be super cute because her cousin, Taryn, is in her class this time! In the meantime, she has expressed an interest in soccer. I signed her up for a spring league that should begin practicing soon. I believe the first game is March 28th. Stay tuned for pictures! Hope everyone is doing well.

Rodeo Day

The theme for the last month at Kayla's school was the Wild Wild West. They put on a Kindergarten Rodeo last week and I went down to volunteer. They had around 10 different events that the kindies participated in. Of all the events, this is what I get assigned to... The Hen House Relay was my specific event. The kids had to scoop up a plastic egg from an upside down bucket with a plastic spoon and bring it to the other side, swap out the egg, carry it back and hand off to the next kid (all without using their hands). It was okay, but this was not a fun event for the kids since it was hard to do and kind of boring. Other events were things such as, branding iron bandanas (with paint) and bucking broncos (sitting on a ball holding the handle and bouncing). This is a picture of another event. The kids had slingshots and had to shoot peanuts at targets. It was a great day. Afterwards, I got to eat lunch with Kayla outside in the courtyard. A beautiful 80 degree Arizona day. :)
